“deniro, please keep in mind that you're dealing with a
cock, man. There is no realness there.”

Oh, I know. I am honestly just curious if there is any basis to his statements about Jerry and Hunter being so influenced by films. Idk why Jerry's ass is red, but he looks pretty sad about it.

Been listening to this one in the car lately, and the intensity of this show continually amazes me:

The whole show rips hard. A dark, intense Other One. One of my favorites of the year actually, in a year full of amazing versions. An incredible Dew, check out Jerry's solo. Lovelight continues the onslaught of intensity. Dark Star will bend your mind, and Mountains of the Moon will tingle your spine! Alligator is a strong version, and don't forget to save some chairs to break for the Caution!

Sadly, there are some cuts in The Eleven, and Death Don't Have No Mercy that really disrupt the show, but otherwise, this has some of the most top-notch playing of early '69.

Unfortunately, you are the only one concerned about honesty and truth in this matter de.

"Idk why Jerry's ass is red, but he looks pretty sad about it."
~ I think it looks like he is ripping one of those farts that make you feel so good that you find yourself saying out loud, " gaaaoooddamnn, that felt good."
Hence the one-eyed squint. (no porno references plz)
Thats just my take one it.

2-15-69? Off it is then. Thx!

Lol. Your take makes a lot of sense, but it still don't explain his rosy red butt cheeks. Maybe his ass is blushing.

One-eyed squint? Isn't that another one of Rich's nicknames? I thought he went by One-eyed Squint before Lil Smokie popped up.

Old one-eyed lil smokie squint. I wonder what the American
Indians translation would be to that one?? hmmm

Thanks for the reminder of that 69 show. The shows around
it tend to overshadow it, so Im glad you showed me places
in the strangest of light. I almost forgot about the 2-15.
THE Am Dew is incredible as you say. LOVE the MOTM. And
yes, Im glad to hear that D star. wheeee- whewwwwwwwww!
Saint Stephen? forrgettabouttttiiitt.....

The cuts are deep in this recording, but that rarely
bothers me. Jerrys voice is so ALIVE! And the playing...
oh, the playing... No wonder the 'earlier is better' crew
lives for this and this only. This show is proof.

btw~ 'The Blushing Asses' is gonna be the name of my next
band. I shall send you royalties :P

Hah. In my current state of mind, it sounds like a great idea. The Red Hot Chili Peppers used to rock out with their cocks out, but your band can be the first to expose just the buttocks! I'm certain this would draw a crowd (maybe not the crowd you're looking for though). You all need to paint your asses red, and then get pants that have a butt flap. Wait till the encore, then turn your backs towards the audience and unveil a row of lustrous red cheeks. You'll need a revolving drum kit so you can play with your ass to the crowd :-) I can just imagine ya grabbing the mic, bending over, and shouting “The sun will shine in my backdoor someday!”

Oh, and yes 2/15/69 is outstanding. Gets somewhat lost amidst of sea of great '69 shows. Jerry's fingers had some extra magic in them that night. I'd love to see an official release of a show like that, which doesn't already have a pristine sbd in circulation. There's no incentive for me, and many others, to purchase shows which I already have near-perfect sounding copies of.
