Well, they ought to do something super-terrific in honor of the woulda-been 70th, but I'm guessing it'll be lame. Hope I'm wrong.

Some thoughts:

Something to do with the GD movie they've been promoting for Jerry's b-day. That would figure.

They could announce a show with All the Survivors. Granted, that would be weird under the circumstances ("in celebration of the fact that Jerry would have been 70 if he had made it, we'll play without him!") but it could happen as a one-shot thing.

But what's with the Indian skull? That's a Plains Indian war bonnet, so it shouldn't connect to Florida or Alaska or any location except somewhere on the Great Plains (not that anyone at Deadnet probably cares about historical or anthropological accuracy, LOL). It could definitely refer to the 8/1/82 40th birthday show in Oklahoma, but how would that be a "very special announcement"? I guess they could box the '82 summer tour, which was in the Great Plains, but the Alpine Valley is already out as DP 32.

I guess the Indian head could also relate to the drummers. So that goes back to the one-shot reuniting idea.

It won't be Orpheum '76 cuz that doesn't relate to either the date or Indians. Ditto Spring '77, Fall '72, etc.

Did the whole band ever perform at shows with the shaman Rolling Thunder? Um, uh, some people see "Sunrise" as relating to Rolling Thunder ... hey, maybe it is Spring '77 after all! The Very Best Sunrises! (Is that a convoluted reach or what?)
