Forum: forums Subject: Renaming Identifiers

Hello,

I saw this in an earlier post, but it appears only admins can change the identifier for items. Would it be possible to rename these following identifiers?

reportrecommenda1974mont
Details page: http://archive.org/details/reportrecommenda1974mont

reportrecommenda00mont
Details page: http://archive.org/details/reportrecommenda00mont

reportrecommenda1976mont
Details page:http://archive.org/details/reportrecommenda1976mont

into this identifier:

re00portrecomamontrich

By doing this, MSL would have one PURL linking to these reports instead of two.

Please let me know if there is anything additional information I can provide.

i see three items but only one identifier. i would need the old and new identifiers for each of the three items.

My mistake, it turns out I would need to change the OCLC numbers in the metaxml instead of changing the identifiers for the items. Sorry for wasting your time.
