what is the status of these?
It seems on copyright.gov they are mentioned as being transferred to Time Warner at some point so I would expect them to be in the hands of a major. But I've seen various cheap releases especially of the first one (check Amazon and eBay) or both together, sometimes cut, sometimes uncut.
I've seen a copy in streaming on Youtube and it has a 1973 copyright notice. Maybe early copies didn't have that?
There's even one company selling it packaged together with "Boy in the plastic bubble" which is PD and here on Archive.org.
