I received this link in an e-mail recently. Seeing as the GD is just a sidebar at the forums now, I thought some of you would enjoy these as well:

dear mister rdenirojb87, those are some pretty cool pics, great for the desktop, thanks for linking it; of course, given that particular era, and the 'burg' aspect, i immediately thought of Charles Lindbergh (burg/berg/bergh ... you get it), and then his son being kidnapped (like the Hindenburg, also in Jersey), and then you living in NJ, which of course made me recall listening to N.Young earlier this week and thinking that he's one of the few artists whose live material i prefer from the mid-career (presently late 80s/early 90s), rather than my usual 'early era' reflex kicking in

your NY Mets seem to have some punch this year, so unusual...

Interesting train of thought.

A no-no for the Amazins!!!! I never thought I would see it happen. What an exciting year for the team. I give a lot of credit to Terry Collins.

I like '76 the best for live Neil, but he certainly didn't go downhill in the '80s and '90s (though much of his '80s studio work sucks, since he was trying to piss off Warner Bros. who had him by the balls with their contract). He's always been incredible live. I'll remind you again, go see him the next chance you get.

"Seeing as the GD is just a sidebar at the forums now,"

slow your roll there mr. deniro

"a sidebar"? I don't think so. Sure there are tangents, but the GOGD is the glue that holds this ragtag collection of humanity together

and BTW, thanks for the link...great pictures

and 33 years later "the boys" showed a bit of their political side with a free concert at MIT as part of the nationwide campus strikes to protest Kent State killings

Just a hyperbole to make a point that Dead-related posts have been severely lacking of late. The relevant discussions have always come and gone in bunches, and clearly this is a down time for Dead-related discussion. I don't mind much though, as it's amazing there's anything at all left to say about this band. What the hell will you all be talking about in 10 years on these forums!? Scary thought.

And that MIT show is one of the greatest moments of their career.

"What the hell will you all be talking about in 10 years on these forums!"

10 years?

It won't really matter 'cause what we talk about today will seem like a new conversation tomorrow.
