I wanted to see how this played out after realizing my original post was misinterpreted, probably by my writing. My intent was to see the choices and how silly it would have been to see the suggarhill gang when you could have hit a legendary night of the dead, or even a moderately lukewarm day. The Stones at MSG, well that would be cool, but give me my Oregon summer days in the fields of Veneta anyday over an inclosed dome in the middle of the city, albeit one of the greatest cities in the world. Just a comparison of what you could have been to that was pop cool when you could have been seeing our beloved band in a smooth setting. 2.14.68 vs any other show out there? I think not. My show in 95 at the Portland Meadows, well, there are a few bands that could have topped that, but I still love that I saw Jerry one last time, even if it was painful.
