No copyright has expired on any U.S. film released after 1963, because copyrights on U.S. films released after 1963 were automatically renewed.

A film released after 1963 could lose its copyright only in the way that Night of the Living Dead lost its copyright: by lacking a valid copyright notice in the opening or ending credits.

Anything on your list from 1978 on is going to still be under copyright in the US according to the Copyright Act of 1976 (as extended by the Sonny Bono Act). At the rate things are going, they won't be public domain while any of us are still young enough to care.
