Re: name a show |
Love the Quincy punk rock show when he asks the punk rockers, "why listen to music that makes you hate when you can listen to music that makes you love?".

Re: name a show |
Hey Arnold. It was a kids cartoon show during the 90's. It still plays to do this day. Check it out if you have never seen the show.

Credit to Cliff for this one.....
May 11 or 12, 1968 at the Virginia Beach Civic Center, affectionately referred to as "The Dome"
No known copy of the show exists.

Re: name a show |
http://www.archive.org/details/gd89-04-08.sbd.26348.sbeok.shnfFirst day of baseball season and my 3rd show from Spring Tour. I will always call this show my saving grace as 4 of us went, and the dude who drove completely dissappaeared and when we got out to the parking garage, he was no where to be found. We stayed all night until the place was completely empty - and just then a friend of ours drove up(we did not even know he was there) and asked us what was up. We were freakin exstatic - a ride...He told us we had to go to Louisville before coming back to Buffalo and of course we went. I did 4/2, 4/3, 4/8 and 4/9 from Spring tour '89. Little did I know about 60 days later I would be in boot camp.
Oh yea, the show...Pretty hot show and I LOVE the Good Times opener. Ill be totally honest, I was completely fried at this show and loved every minute of it. An absolute favorite memory of touring. Our neighbor in the lot had a tank and everything was everywhere...All those little league kids going to opening day Reds game and the exact same lot was mobbed with heads. Really weird and classic lot scene. I still cant believe that was 23 years ago this spring.......So, has 4/8 been mentioned?

Re: name a show |
yeah, that was a fun show with Jerry and Jimi trading leads and Janet on vocals. Buddy actually fit in on drums, considering his lack of rock experience. All together a wonderful show!

Re: name a show |
Oh yeah--that's when Janet really let it rip--literally! She never looked better (wink)...I'll never forget that after not having seen them for almost 13 yrs, it was such a humbling experience to see Jimi, ALIVE, after that whole "lost decades debacle" (recall how he staged the whole thing to drop out, tour with the DEAD in place of Bobby, since it turned out he REALLY had been fired?! And how the Michael Jackson pigment shift thing had worked so well for Jimi that no one noticed, except when he wore shorts--no tan line). He and Michael's sister were such unexpected additions to the DEAD family.
Best moment: Janet's FIRST (a little known fact) exposure, predating the SuperBowl incident by years! Missed it myself as some guy had just thrown up on my new sneakers, a guy with a Duke Hoodie as I recall...he was being chased by a guy from Lehigh, PA who was mad as Hell!
Though I was only 12, I successfully taped the entire thing on the first micro-digital, direct CD deck, given to me as I snuck in the stage door at Winterland by some guy in a beard who just kept saying "keep the taping tradition alive! tell them Monte sent ya!"
Fun times.
[Ah...work week winding down out here...too bad I am stuck inside looking out at a beautiful day in the desert]
