ok, i've added some basic exception tracking and will add more, in case it's a javascript exception, etc.

still happening for you, right? pretty much any archive.org /details/ page or do you have some choice ones for us to try to repro on?

(i can't reproduce it in my various IE8 setups...)

Hi,

It works! A few days ago I reported that using XP-SP3 with IE8 I would just get a circling arrow for at least 5 minutes. Thanks for your efforts.

A lot of recently uploaded films will only play in the new player with HTML5. They are the ones that for some reason only have ogg and mpeg4 formats available.
The spinning circle is very Zen the first time you see it, but it tends to pall after about half an hour...
