Hands down the loudest sound: Monster trucks in a civic center. You absolutely can NOT sit there without your plugs in. Took some of my critters a couple of years ago. My six year-old looked up at me and says, "My nutty-buddies are shakin'!!"

After that, I don't know. Maybe, Nickelback a couple of years ago. Or, Cheap Trick in a college gym in the '80s.

I saw the GD in the Omni and at the civic center in B'ham: didn't think any of those shows were very loud.

I did see the Stones twice on the same tour when Living Colour opened for them. Outside at Legion Field, we could talk over LC but the Stones sounded good. Inside at the Superdome, LC sounded just right and the Stones were way too loud and reverby to enjoy.
