Could some one please point me towards an example of a "tiger jam"? Also, I've read that "feeling groovy jams" are not always in DS. Any one know of one not in DS?

Plenty of terrific Feelin' Groovy Jams were played during the China/Rider segues of 1973 and 1974. They played it a couple of times in the post Truckin' jam segments of late '72. And then there is this terrific Feelin' Groovy Jam after the bass solo of this post Eyes of the World jam passage...

From '69-'72 the Feelin' Groovy jam was almost always in Dark Star.
Here's one that wasn't (labeled the Uncle John's Band jam, it's a segue between Truckin' and Morning Dew) -

This is the earliest Feelin' Groovy jam we have, from a home rehearsal tape (labeled simply "jam") -

And this is a rare example of a Feelin' Groovy jam in the Other One:

As for the Tiger Jam, if you listen to '72-'74 it's hard to miss, since they did it in most of the big jams from those years.
I'll pick this example at random - the Dark Star has not only an enormous Tiger Jam but also a uniquely fast Feelin' Groovy:

And this old thread has a couple other Tiger Jam recommendations:
