It's got better animation than Family Guy.

What's a Family Guy?

Family Guy is an American prime time animated series that tries, but fails miserably at being funny. Unless you find "poop" humor, sophomoric sexual innuendos, drug humor, or blatent disrespect funny. Personally, I'd take a sharp stick to the eye over watching that show.

Thank you. I don't watch television. The stations went off the air last year and I don't care. I cannot afford to pay to watch crap. Comcast just announced another 3.5 percent rate increase. Somebody is making the bucks.

Between what I've downloaded here, my "torrent" stuff, and netflix (which I watch using my Wii) we only watch TV for news and sports.

I like what Netflix is doing. You sign up for the 8.95 a month thingy, they send you a disk that fits in your Wii, and you can watch TONS of movies, TV shows, documentaries, mini-series, you name it! My husband can always find an old war film to watch, and I'm finding lots of complete series that I've been wanting to see, but have been past my bed time.

You watch movies with your Wii? Personally, I use my eyes...

I would use my eyes, but remember back when your folks gave you the advice, "Stop that, or you'll go blind!"?

Nuff said.

We haven't watched TV (via antenna OR cable) for 20 years. We have enough of our favorite shows/movies on DVD to keep us happy and well-supplied with the entertainment of our own choosing.

THANK YOU! I abhor Family Guy, despite virtually every person I know loving it to pieces (along with junk like South Park). Methinks I need to find new friends...

We have recently discovered how wonderful it can be to just have the TV off. No music, no talking... just quiet. I remember my parents doing that, and I thought "How can they stand just sitting there? Turn on the TV or something!" Now I know. My TV doesn't come on until Richard gets home, and we watch Law and Order.

That is, unless I'm playing a video game, which is quite often... after chores, that is.

Since we only turn on the TV to watch a DVD from our collection-that-threatens-to-engulf-the-house, silence is the norm around here, with the exception of a few hours of classical music on the radio per day. I used to love to just sit in the silence and read, but now can't stay awake to do that.
