Barely! :)

Everyone I know seems stunned when I tell them we have no cable or broadcast TV, and I have no videogames other than the Solitaire and Mahjonng on my PC. No Playstation, X-Box or Wii in this house. No MP3 players or iPhones, just a cheap cell phone for emergencies. When I really retire I'll get rid of everything but a few books, a few CDs, and the cat, and we'll move to a little place faaaaar away from the city. Ah, peace!

So I'm a Luddite...sue me! ;)

Tis a gift to be simple
Tis a gift to be free
Tis a gift to come down
Where we ought to be

Same here, going on 5 years. A tv but no cable, satellite or aerial hookup. We use the set to watch DVDs, and to display the video output of a laptop to watch internet-based media such as IA feature films. I'm done with commercial tv. Whatever's worth watching comes out on DVD soon enough, and then I can get caught up if I want to. But most of what I really enjoy is right here (thanks to billbarstad, moongleam, guyzilla, k-otic, and everyone else!)
