I second that emotion! Mr. Thompson is a virtuoso.

Wish I would have thought to say that, maybe make up for my newbie faux pas earlier.
I remember listening to Fairport Convention long, long ago and some stuff with Linda that I really liked. Haven’t really kept up, but you have renewed my interest BD.
(Hmmm, I wonder if he ever played at the Colonial ...)

Don't know re colonial (I've only seen one show there), but he and Louden Wainwright are set to play the opera house in Lebanon in early October. Nice time of year for a not very far drive in your neck of the woods. Ah, how I miss driving through the notch home to Franconia....
(RIP Old Man ...)

I will definately try to budget funds to see what's being billed as "Loud and Rich", 10/2 in Lebanon, or at the Calvin 10/6 which is pretty close also. Kind of tight at the moment, just paid $49 for Johnny Winter Blues Jam (11th row!)
I've only been up to Franconia once, before the Old Man collapsed, on a school trip with my daughter. Very beautiful fall ride.

Have fun at the JW Blues Jam - from what I've heard he's been playing better and better - I might try and get into NYC to see him at BB Kings. Time & $$ are tight though.
