Hi there!

We want to build a web directory with free content from all over the internet. The directory should only include material released under GPL or CC License. The goal is to help people finding free stuff easily.

Our site will include ads to cover the server costs, so we will not add stuff which is released under a cc nc license until we have the permission by the owner (e.g. netlabels).

We will also not use the description, set list etc. from archive.org

Is there something which would speaking against it?
This may sound obvious, but just to be shure.
