So what is next??? |
With only a handful of shows left on The Dead's tour, my thoughts have drifted to the past and future for the Boy's...
Some things I noticed during this run:
Phil's new Bass is wicked
Mickey is still possesed during Drum>Space
Bobby sings all Jerry tunes very oddly
Warren CAN SING PRETTY DARN WELL!!!!
Jeff was MVP on a nightly baisis
The scence has mellowed out a tad since 04'
So what is next??? With Ratdog and Mule both touring for the summer and Phil unsure of his plans, what can we expect from the Core Four in the future???
Billy said in that Relix interview that a studio album is not in the works (I keep hearing rumors) and he will go on tour with BK3 and I assume Mickey will do the same with his various groups.
Any thoughts on what is next or what you would like to see??

my thought is I agree with Bob - they should keep it going to really get this stuff down. Whatever people think they are really throwing in the kitchen sink on this tour. I'd say people are getting their money's worth.
Funny moment from the inagural ball video on that video link, Billy doesn't want to play US Blues or sacrifice any tunes on the setlist they're fleshing out for it
Billy: but these are all cool tunes

Bill: I bet I know more than you think

As far as I'm concerned, they could do a tour like this once a year or so.
It seems generally agreed that this tour is a success, musically and financially, and it seems like they are having a good time together again, so I think they will try to keep it going in some form or another.
