Hey Snori, this one is just good clean fun. I am an apple guy, been so for more than 20 years. I know that Rob and WHARFRAT also use them. There were a few posts recently that were bashing itunes and apple here so i thought i would give them something to laugh at.

Maybe or perhaps in my field of work apples were the superior machines 20 years ago and while PCs have improved, I see no reason switch at this point. For the record I also own one PC although it is old so I don't use it much any more and on this site i have recommended PCs to people because of the cost difference.
You seem a bit angry. Why does a minor little group of people using a computer that is a bit different from yours make you so pissed? Besides if Apple is fascist what does that make Microsoft? The company that made it hard for people to use netscape when they rolled out their own browser? Lots of free choice there. I bet if you were sitting in front of a shiny fashionable computer that matched your kitchen, you would not be so angry. Lighten up Francis.

All I said is that you like your fascism expensive and fashionable. I prefer mine inexpensive, diverse, and with more options available to me.

My previous posts on that thread could certainly be taken as you seem to have. But are you going to tell me there aren't people like that, and that I'm not allowed to make fun of them?
I have encountered smug Apple users. Maybe they are smug for other reasons beyond that, I don't know. But I spoke based on my experience.
I don't know what to tell you dude. You can paint your picture, and call me an asshole, but all I was doing was making fun of the Apple-heads.

I am sorry but the tone of your posts have never struck me that you were making fun of people in a lighthearted fashion. I apologize if I misunderstood that. That was why I was suggesting you lighten up. I only called you an asshole because of the blow me comment. I apologize for that too.
I think there are smug people, but I doubt anyone who was an apple user who posted that onion clip would likely be such a person. I really only used them initially because it was what worked best for me for what I was doing. I am fortunate enough to still be in the same line of work so I see no reason to stop using them. The fact that they built all these other gadgets to go with the computer is just a bonus for me.
I say we get back to the music that brought us here. Cheers.

I don't do much lightheartedly, and yea I'm often on the pessimistic side of things... but I don't do/say things maliciously or with hatred - at least that's not my intention.
Sarcasm, and tone of voice aren't something that translate well in this medium.
Speaking of music... Mick Jones played his last show with the band (and thusly the end of the Clash) at Woz's US Festival in 83.

Saw the Clash open for the Who and JFK Stadium in '82. I was really looking forward to the performance, unfortunately the band was nearly done at that point and it was coming through on stage. The crowd started booing the lackluster performance about 3 songs in and they basically asked if we wanted to hear anymore. Being Philadelphia, the crowd responded in the way we knew best and they walked off the stage.
yeah, sarcasm definitely doesn't translate well in this medium, regardless whose keyboard you are using to type on.

Indeed. A Topper-less Clash just isn't The Clash. Plus I'm sure the tension between Jones and Strummer was highly evident on stage.
The city that threw snowballs at Santa... hahaha! Did they expect a different answer to that question?
Amazingly some of the songs performed at the US Fest weren't too bad, but some were just way out of whack.

Yea, then again, I haven't lived there in well over a decade. That said, I'll be back when drivin n cyrin release their first new album in 11 years this year and hit up the Charleston, Savannah and other area fun spots in the back of the van....
