We're either still working on the MPEG2 issue, or it has been resolved, but some servers need rebooting.

Brak?

Forum: feature_films Subject: apparently missing mpeg2 file problem should now be fixed

The problem was that some of our ftp servers were not configured to handle files larger than 2GB, which had the effect of giving a "missing" error when people clicked on it. The ops staff think they have cleared out these issues. We dont have the checking in place to prove this yet, unfortunately.

If you have this problem again, please post in this forum.

Can bits of the public domain feature films be used to create new movies in the same way as the Prelinger films?

Also what is the situation about, say, using a clip on a website? What if the author of the website is based in the UK (I am) but the site is hosted in the USA? My guess is these movies are all still under copyright in the UK?

If it's in the public domain, you can use/modify it however you want.
