We just passed a milestone of 500,000 books online. Fantastic to see.

The Internet Archive is scanning at about 1000 books a day at this point from 80 great libraries.

As we cross this milestone, please think of ways to support scanning and hosting on an ongoing basis.

Also, check out http://www.openlibrary.org which is an evolving site to give books a great home on the web.
