It's a piece of software for transferring files from one computer to another. In this case, uploading files from your PC to the server at archive.org. Once you have connected using the FTP address and a username and password (if required) the folder on your PC appears in one window and the folder on the server in another window. You can then transfer files by dragging them across.

FTP = File Transfer Protocol.

Filezilla is good free FTP software for Windows. You can find that and others on here:
