Re: Bob's shorts not going into archives |
He destroyed that pink guitar at Autzen '93 during Jack Straw didn't he? I saw him do it. Never seen him so pissed off. Good J.S. tho'.
First glimpse of Big Pink for me was when he brought it out at Alpine '88 for the first Foolish Heart. We were all well impressed.

Yes indeed. I remember turning to my wife and saying, Bobby can take all the time he wants to come back. It was the last great JS I ever saw, although the one the following year in Eugene wasn't too bad considering the decline.

Re: Bob's shorts not going into archives |
I read that SF Weekly article today about the Weirs.
Cool but what I'd like to see is that green shirt Weir wore on the debut album cover.
Probably beyond threadbare now, though you never know.
Maybe he still has (or UCSC will get) the shark's teeth necklace? Way cool.
A few months ago I had a dream with Garcia in it... I asked him about that purple paisley sweater.
He chuckled, as if!
He still had it after all... it was neatly folded.
