there is no details page to referance since i don't have any evidance of it existing, yet. -but if it doesn't exist yet, why can't i create it?

Re: admin/curators: i need help opening an identifier... |
hmmph.
when i go to the site, "archive.org/checkout/sou2007-04-26.flac16", i just get the same ol'
"The specified item was not found "live" in the US cluster or does not have metadata.
It may be in checked out state by you, looking now...
No record of this item being checked out was found!
Go to item detail page."
then... when i go to the item detail page i get, "The item you have requested had an error:
Exhausted all choices for locator URLs. Item cannot be found.
which prevents us from displaying this page.
If you would like to report this problem as an error report, you may do so here."
...which i did report as an error report some time agoe...
-if i try to open a new identifier i just keep getting the same ol' "checking for item identifier availability...
Desired identifier 'sou2007-04-26.flac16' not available. Please try another identifier."
so, what do i need to do to get the identifier available, or check it out agian?

Re: admin/curators: i need help opening an identifier... |
If neither of those works, it's possible that the identifier is hosed, unfortunately. Identifiers just get "stuck" or "lost" when the checkout process is aborted like that, and it's such a task to recover them that we recommend creating a new identifier (like just ".flac" instead of ".flac16", or some source info (".sbd.flac16") in the new identifier.
