Forum: etree Subject: Where are the bands???

I was browsing through the artists section of the site, and was thinking about what bands I would really like to see on here. Here is a few off the top of my head:
~Disco Biscuits
~MMW
~Vida Blue
~Grateful Dead
~Cosmic Charlie
~organ and drums (the duo)
~oysterhead
~jazz mandolin project
~spacestation integration
~John Scofield band
~Kooken and Hoomen
~Galactic

Thats all I can remember right now...Can someone help out to try to get some shows of these bands up?

Thanks
Boyd

Boyd, please read the FAQ section. It explains why none of those bands are here.

While we're at it, can we get some Celine Dion? and maybe some Metallica?

FWIW Metallica apparently (do or did) let their live shows be taped/traded. Their valid Napster gripe was with unreleased studio stuff. I tried contacting then for here but I think the msg ended up bouncing.

Update 2005: Chuck aka Grateful Dad has found policy notes on Metallica's website: personal taping still allowed, but no public downloads, therefore a NO for here. On the plus side, the band now sells their own concerts for d/l in FLAC format.

Before I divorced Britney Spears last weekend, she told me that it's ok to post her shows here at the archive. So I am going to upload the infamous Fillmore show 04-01-02 with special guest Clay Aikens .

Wow, get the Grateful Dead and MMW on here? What a great idea, why didn't anybody else think of that? Brilliant!

As far as one of those groups, Organ and Drums, also known as The Duo, is already on the archive by another name they go by... Benevento/Russo.

EDIT: The Disco Biscuits have also given their approval.
