The CD description lists the orchestra leader as
"Jacky Saunder". Actually the leader is Jackie
Souders,a long time Seattle bandleader. He made the music on your CD for the Columbia label. The
recordings were made in Seattle in 1926 and 1927.
If you like I can scan the original Columbia labels.
I had the pleasure of meeting Walton McKinney
during a visit to KOIN in Portland. I didn't know
that he had made the recordings so I failed to ask him about them. No doubt he would have had some very interesting recollections about the Seattle sessions.
